Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Planning Analyst will assist with financial planning and reporting processes.  In this role, you will interact with different areas of the organization and all levels of management to gather and interpret financial information and provide professional, accurate and timely support. The position objectives include providing financial analysis, forecasting, modeling and budgeting support to TechInsights and its subsidiaries. You bring strong admin/super user knowledge of Adaptive Insights to the role as a key responsibility area will be special projects involving modeling within Adaptive Insights.
• Perform the Administrator role for Adaptive Insights, the company’s financial planning and reporting tool
• Assist on special projects concerning the development and deployment of forecasting/modeling in Adaptive Insights
• Lead the preparation of and communicate results of monthly cash flow forecasting
• Provide backup for the preparation, analysis and communication of weekly revenue forecasts
• Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages including the calculation of relevant KPIs and other measurements
• Perform financial analysis and provide commentaries on key MTD/QTD/YTD budget/forecast variances
• Prepare and communicate analysis to support business unit leaders in their business decision making
• Coordinate inputs and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Develop financial models to support various budget and forecast scenarios
• Assist in costing and profitability analysis, including the periodic updating of costing rates used in financial systems
• Oversee preparation and posting of internal service charges and other inter-departmental allocations
• Assist with month-end close procedures, journal entries and reconciliations as required
• Perform other duties assigned, as required

Qualifications:

• Must have advanced knowledge of Adaptive Insights, including the design of financial models and reports as well as system administrator role
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
• Strong working knowledge of NetSuite is desirable
• Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
• Professional accounting designation or working towards a designation (CPA CMA, CPA CA, CPA CGA) is desirable
• 5 years of professional experience in a financial analyst role or similar
• Experience working within a multi-entity/multi-currency environment is an asset
• Confident, proactive, organized and positive attitude
• Attention to detail in all areas of work
• Strong time management skills and the ability to produce quality work within tight timelines
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
• Good problem-solving, analytical and listening skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization
• Good aptitude for dealing with complex systems issues
• Quality improvement-oriented, professional approach
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
