At TechInsights, we know that our success is a direct result of the talented individuals who support our growing business. As a recent graduate and member of our Human Resources team, you will be involved with all aspects of the Human Resources function including supporting recruitment, maintaining HRIS and records, and assisting with the preparation of payroll, administering benefits. We’ve created this opportunity, on a 1-year contract basis, as a way for you to be involved in all aspects of Human Resources. If you believe in empowering all members of our company, engaging them in HR technology and self-service options, and enjoy solving our internal client’s needs, then this may be the right fit for you!
• Work closely with the HR Business Partner and HR Generalist to provide recruiting support for sourcing and screening candidates, careers page maintenance and orientation and onboarding activities
• Configure and maintain HRIS. This includes:
o improving self-service functionality for all users including managers
o gathering and reporting on HR data analytics
o working with outside vendors to report issues and support configuration efforts
• Coordinate updates for payroll; work closely with HR and Finance to communicate semi-monthly payroll changes and to present recommendations to move from paper-based to electronic facilitation of payroll changes
• Manage both digital and paper-based records to:
o Enable the HR team to readily access documentation
o Ensure privacy and legislative compliance
o Prepare for audit requirements
• Administer global benefits and act as the liaison between our benefit providers, employees and internal teams as needed
• Supporting general employee relations but responding to inquiries and escalating issues
• Other employee HR program support as time allows
• Provide back-up for reception as needed


• University or college level degree, preferably with an HR or with a business focus
• An intuitive nature and ability to understand how people tick
• Strong interest in improving efficiencies through use of technology
• Experience in an office environment; MS Office Suite and other office productivity software
• A desire to solve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a great sense of humour
• Attention to detail; enjoys keeping everything in order
• Willing to try new approaches and learn from mistakes
• Ability to work collaboratively across all levels in the organization
