TechInsights has one of the most advanced in-house technical labs in the world with state-of-the-art equipment that enables investigation from “atom-to-system”. The equipment and tools used in the lab require constant care and nurturing to ensure they meet our ever-evolving analysis techniques. To this end, a technically savvy Specialist with broad practical experience working in a lab with chemical and mechanical processes is needed to help us meet our objectives. Curious, creative and analytical by nature, you will continuously research technologies and techniques to advance efficiency and effectiveness in our processes.
• Interact with circuit delaying, process analysis and systems analysis teams to understand requirements for equipment and processes to enable effective analysis of technologies
• Resolve hardware, chemical and software issues related to equipment and processes
• Develop equipment and techniques for the analysis of new devices and technologies; perform experimental research to find and define solutions
• Provide training and guidance to team members on techniques and processes
• Resolve problems with new and existing techniques and equipment
• Devise workaround solutions for short term fixes; research and investigate long-term solutions
• Craft next generation process and techniques for upcoming work
• Engage external contractors or outsource functions as required; liaise with vendors and negotiate service and equipment agreements

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Chemistry or Physics or related discipline
• 5+ years’ relevant experience with practical lab skills
• Advanced knowledge of lab equipment and processes including chemical and mechanical
• Knowledge of one or more of the following:
o Semiconductor fabrication
o Organic chemistry
o electrical circuits
o electron microscopes and/or focused ion beam microscopes
o plasma etching and deposition
o ion beam milling (broad beam and focused ion beam)
o wet chemical etching
o materials analysis
• Understanding of software programming concepts
• Knowledge of simulation tools such as Monte Carlo simulation
• Knowledge of FTIR and Raman analysis
• Strong analytical skills along with innovative with creative thinking abilities
• The ability to soundly communicate ideas and solutions, and solicit and understand feedback
